  • General Questions
    Q. What are the rules?
    A. The terms of service can be found here.

  • Q. What are the requirements for running this game.
    A. All you need is an up to date browser (FireFox recommended) with Session cookies and Javascript enabled.

  • Q. What browser is recommended?
    A. FireFox, Chrome or any standards compliant modern browser. Anyone using Internet Explorer versions lower than 7.0 are in for a difficult time. If you want to know if your browser is compliant, take the ACID3 test, if your browser scores over 80 you are probably looking good.

  • Q. Who runs the game? How do I contact them?
    A. Game owners are listed on every player's Friends list. An in-game mail can be sent to these staff from their player pages or from the Friends list. HEX can be contacted out-of-game through his Facebook page.


  • Account Questions
    Q. I can't register. What should I do?
    A. Try using a different browser, ensure your browser has cookies enabled.

  • Q. I can't log in. What should I do?
    A. Try using a different browser, ensure your browser has cookies enabled.

  • Q. I forgot my password. How do I get it back?
    A. Go here and enter the email address you use to log in. We'll mail you a new password that you can use to log in. You can change this new password to whatever you like on the Options page.

  • Q. Can I change the email address I use to log in?
    A. Yes, just email an owner using the in game mail system and we can do this for you.

  • Q. How do I delete my account?
    A. Inactive accounts are deleted automatically, there is no need to delete your account.

  • Q. If I don't log in for a while, will my account be deleted?
    A. If you have ever donated or subscribed to the game, your account will never be deleted. If you have not donated or subscribed, your account may be deleted after automatically after a certain period of inactivity.

  • Q. If I can't log in for a while, is it okay for someone else to log in for me?
    A. You can set your account to Weekend Mode, on the Options page, if you are only going to be away for up to 3 days, and some of your actions will be stored up. If you are going to be away longer than that, you can set another player to babysit your account, as long as you enter their ID number on the Options page. Do not allow another player to login to your account without using babysitter mode or your account may be deleted.

  • Q. Can I give my account to another person? Another player?
    A. No one is allowed to have two accounts, so you can't give your account to someone else who is already playing the game. Transfer of accounts between players is also not allowed.



  • Q. How do I donate or subscribe to this game? What are the payment options?
    A. Currently donations and subscriptions are handled through PayPal.

  • Q. For a subscription, when will my account be billed?
    A. Every month until you cancel starting the day you sign up to the subscription in Paypal.

  • Q. How do I update my credit card information?
    A. This is handled exclusively via your PayPal account. Our game staff do not have access to any of your credit card information.

  • Q. Can I donate or buy a subscription for a friend?
    A. Yes, all you need to do is specify via mail to the game owner who the donation or subscription is for.

  • Q. How do I cancel my subscription?
    A. This is handled exclusively via your PayPal account. Our game staff do not have access to any of your credit card information.

  • Q. Can I get a refund?
    Q. A donation is a one-off voluntary contribution to Opus Deorum (the game). You are not paying for the benefits you gain, you are merely being thanked for your contribution by means of a small reward. Donations will not be refunded.


  • Gameplay Questions
    Q. I'm new to this game. How do I find out more about how to play?
    A. The Tutorial gives a basic overview. The Newbie forum contains FAQs and guides on many aspects of gameplay, and allows players to post questions. There are usually players in chat who are willing to help and answer questions right away. And new players can choose an older player as a mentor, for guidance and advice.

  • Q. I found a bug while I was playing. Where should I report it?
    A. In the Game forum, there is a thread for reporting bugs. Please include all details such as what you were doing at the time, and any error messages that appeared.

  • Q. I found a possible exploit. What should I do?
    A. Tell the game staff about it. Or else...


  • Appearance/Interface Questions
    Q. How do I change the game's appearance?
    A. On the Options page, players can choose a standard colour theme, or can pick their own colours for page background, font, etc.

  • Q. Where can I find the in-game date and time?
    A. At the upper right of every game page.
